I am often asked what an affiliate manager earns and what an affiliate program will cost.

I have heard from some merchants that they want me to work on a commission only basis as they feel a commission provides incentive for their affiliate manager to ‘work harder’. I am guessing you have or are launching an affiliate program as a means of growing your online sales. An affiliate program will help your sales grow however, launching an effective affiliate program takes planning and time.

The start up of your affiliate program, or hiring a new affiliate manager involves a LOT of work the first three months. Much of this work will not show it’s ‘rewards’ for a few months (3-6) I understand this and I do offer a tiered rate. I can not however work for ‘free’.

Outsourced affiliate managers typically earn between $500 – $2500 a month.

As an outsourced affiliate manager I work on a retainer basis (like most outsourced affiliate managers) and my rates start at $850 a month. What does this include?

- Researching potential affiliates and recruiting.
- Providing new tools and campaign materials for your affiliates each month
- A section in our weekly affiliate newsletter (to your affiliates and potential affiliates)
- Management and contact point for all your affiliates and affiliate questions
- Monthly report
- Training tools for your affiliates at Heraffiliate.com
- A dedicated page at Heraffiliate.com
- Opportunity for representation at Affiliate Summits.

Additional costs you may incur:
- Development of creative (banners) (One set of 5 sizes is included EACH month.)

- Costs associated to representation at annual affiliate trade shows
- Costs for advertising on affiliate forums and publications
